Breaux Bridge – Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Milton Potier.
Milton Potier was born September 16, 1952 and died September 6, 2018. Milton loved walking in the neighborhood going from house to house talking to the people. Whatever was on his mind he let you know and whatever you told him he would tell the others. He really enjoyed dancing, especially zydeco. He had no shame on the dance floor, he danced to impress. Milton was a longtime faithful member of St. Francis Church. He loved his church and always attended mass and supported church functions. Milton will be missed by family and friends as they say, “He loved to walk the street.”
Milton is survived by his sisters, Joyce (Linton) Joseph, Jeannie Calais, Mary T. Potier, and Brenda (Chester) Potier; brothers, Allen Gabriel, Harold (Barbara) Potier, Dennis (Priscilla) Potier, Richard Potier, and Lawrence (Claudette) Potier, Sr.; and a host of nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Potier, Sr. and mother, Mable Potier; two sisters, Betty Bonhomme and Beverly Potier; five brothers, Leroy, Jimmie, Jerry, Allen Potier Jr. and Carrol and brothers-in-law, Herman Calais, Sr. and Howard Bonhomme, Jr.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7:30 a.m. until time of service.
