1880 Census Records, shows on the same sheet the White Joseph Potier and family, the black alexander Potier and family and the Berard family, Alex Potier in-laws. Finally towards the bottom of the sheet it shows LeDe Manon, Alexander Potier's mother. Manon was a slave purchase by Charles Potier around 1807 , Manon was 25 years old with her daughter 2 years old at the time of purchase
