Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge for Mable M. Potier, 94, who passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at St. Martin Hospital. 

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Bethlehem Baptist Church from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Wednesday.

She is survived by her sons, Harold Potier and wife Barbara, Dennis Potier and wife Priscilla, Milton Potier, Richard Potier, and Lawrence Potier, Sr. and wife Claudette; her daughters, Joyce Joseph and husband Linton, Jeannie Calais, Mary Potier, and Brenda Potier and husband Chester Babineaux; her brother, Clarence Matthew; her sisters, Alice Benoit and Mary Jane Matthew; 41 grandchildren; and numerous great, great-great, great-great-great, and great-great-great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry "Vavaseur" Matthew and Nola Charles; her husband, Allen Potier, Sr.; three sons, Carol Potier, Leroy Potier, and Allen Potier, Jr.; two daughters, Betty Bonhomme and Beverly Potier; infant twin sons, Jerry and Jimmy Potier; her brothers, Alex Matthew, Jimmy Matthew, Andrew Matthew, Joseph Matthew, Lennis Matthew, and Henry Matthew, Jr.; her sisters, Beatrice Bourda and Mary Lou White; and her sons-in-law, Herman Calais, Sr. and Howard Bonhomme, Jr.
